Initially this piece was created as a commission for her owner who loved this little lady very much – such a striking looking pussycat with big blue eyes, such a gentle soul, she was a dream to paint.

We took in Chiara, another lovely pussycat Alba and 2 doggies Mel & Smokie some time later, initially as fosters, when sadly through no fault of their own their previous owners could no longer keep them. We totally fell in love with all four and they quickly became part of our own large family of furries, the bonds we all had were so strong, they ended up staying and what joy they have brought to our lives.

So many animals end up needing a new home for many reasons, some simply as in Chiara's case because their owners had unforeseen events in their lives that, however much they wanted to, they could no longer care for them - some because they have been mistreated neglected or abandoned - so I am hoping that this little beauties image will light up your home and help some of her furry friends who are not so fortunate.

I will be donating 10% of all net profits on any of my paintings or products featuring cats and dogs directly to 'SOS Animais de Nelas' to help them in their endless quest to save, care for, love and give these beautiful creatures a life they deserve.
