Standing alone amongst a valley of tangled grasses, this beautiful poppy caught my eye - the sun streaming through her perfectly formed semi translucent petals, such a delicate and beautiful contrast to the bright blue skies of Portugal . I wanted to capture that gentle strength that enabled her to push through the tangle of life around her to stand tall and show her unique expression to anyone who cared to look.
