Collection: Moonlit Poppies

I painted the original pastel in the early hours of stillness before dawn. The full moon was peeping through the dark clouds and streaming into the field and as I sat there I could imagine the poppies being fooled into almost thinking it was time for them to awaken and open up – and so this painting came into being and in creating it I had such a feeling of peace and somehow hope – my wish is that it does the same for you.
