This painting was originally inspired by a photograph taken of a country lane in England, where early in the morning a single red tree stood at the edge of the winding road – I originally started to create the scene as my interpretation of the photograph as it was, however as I painted somehow I got drawn down that lane, I guess to see where it led - somehow I found myself well into the afternoon in a meadow of red trees – funny where life leads you :)
