Each tutorial slowly takes you through how I created the painting from start to finish, with access to the reference photo, initial sketch or method used & overview of the colours & materials I used. It is a complete & comprehensive guide where I explain about the theory behind what I am doing, why I have chosen certain colours or used certain strokes etc - each tutorial contains many basic principles & techniques that you can apply to your own paintings.

I paint at a slow, gentle speed so even if you are in your early stages of painting you will be able to follow along and whilst I have ‘starred’ each tutorial as to the level of complexity, I suggest choosing a tutorial where you enjoy the finished painting, as whilst some of the subjects are more detailed or complex, in order to learn the most you must enjoy looking at and creating what you are painting, so I encourage you to have a go with more challenging subjects, you might just surprise yourself! I also offer an optional critique with all tutorials.

* 1 Star - Simpler/shorter projects suitable for beginners - usually between 1-3 hours

** 2 Stars - Intermediate - a challenge for a beginner but achievable - usually between 3-5 Hours

*** 3 stars - More complex or detailed suitable for those of you who have some painting experience - 5 hours +
